Ponder being back in is better for the GB defense as they've played against him in recent years and Freeman has that intangible quality of being able to hit on longer throws.

True, although I wouldn't mind playing the Freeman we saw on Monday. If he sits out practice all week and then is somehow cleared to play...

Actually a little worried about Ponder because he knows this is his chance to showcase himself.  He isnt good but he could put a game like week 17 of last year.  Although he throws a couple bad balls early the Viking fans will boo him relentlessly

Apparently Ponder is starting after all. Freeman has a concussion or something.

Saw the story... but question why it took so long to discover it.

Maybe when the coaches actually watched the game tape it gave them a headache or the feeling of a concussion themselves. Then they told Freeman he wasn't starting this week and here is the story we're going with.

The fact Ponder has played well against us in the past had something to do with this decision as well.

If you have not listened to Jennings media interview with Packers media on Wednesday it is well worth a listen if you want to hear someone try and backtrack some prior comments made.

Maybe he should have thought about this day when he made the original comments.

If I were a DB in the Packers secondary and wanted to talk trash at Jennings in between plays, I'd ask him "Hey - how those five yard receptions working for ya?" - "Pro Bowl this year?" or - gesturing with my hand and whistling like something's flying over and past his head or behind him - not even saying a word LOL.

Starks, Brad Jones, Bush, Hayward full participants in today's practice: http://blog.packers.com/2013/10/23/rb-james-starks-returns-to-practice/

That is really close to best case scenario this week. I don't think any of the others aside from James Jones have a chance.

I'd rather Freeman played.

Potential trap game.  Going in short handed on the road.

Think the Pack still pulls it out but don't think they will cover.

Pack 20  Queens 16

Wish Perry was available.

Always tough to win on the road no matter the opponent.

Especially at the Metrodome.

I read that Perry participated in practice today on a limited basis.  Not that I expect him to play but I found that surprising

The Vikings are terrible and are in turmoil.  They are giving up 30.2 PPG this year.  They got stomped 35-10 two weeks ago at home against Carolina and then had that puke fest last week against the Giants.

Things aren't going to turn around for them this week against a resilient Packers team.  That is especially true with the added motivation because of the garbage Jennings spewed in the offseason.

Lying about a concussion is a really good idea right? Minnesota isn't going to do anything that would get them in serious trouble. Lying on the injury report, especially about a concussion, would get them in a serious amount of trouble.

Basically what I am saying is it didn't happen.
