these twilight years with the Raiders have a real "Jordan on the Wizards" feel to them.

Woodson started in Oakland... does not have the same feel to me.

Thought tonight was for the starters to get into the 3rd quarter, so there won't be a whole lot of time for the bubble guys.  First cut is next week, but hacking 15 of the 90 shouldn't be too hard.  I'd say next week's game is the one where the bubble folks get to make it or break it.

I'm thinking that if Elliot puts a Reggie White club move on somebody and gets himself another sack - he's on the squad.
Effectively he will have pulled what henceforth will be called a "Janis"  :)

I'll miss the game tonight because I have a HOT date that's going to jump on the back of my Harley; then we're going to go dance to some great Rockabilly music under the stars!

After last preseason, that isn't automatic.

Anybody have any news on Casey Hayward. I heard he sat out a few practices with a hamstring injury........

I suspect he is playing tonight though.

EDIT: Just heard he is inactive tonight. :(

Wow, that really sucks.

I wouldn't usually be too concerned, but it was a 'minor' hamstring injury that ended up keeping him out pretty much the entire year last year.  When this is the only real dress rehearsal for the regular season it sucks to know he's already experiencing hamstring issues.

Really hope this isn't a long term issue again.

Hayward is a lock to make the team. Therfore, they are being cautious with him. Just as they didn't play AR or Nelson or Lacy in the elements in the first game. Why take a chance in a meaningless game? Another example that the Packers are doing everything they can to try to keep their players healthy for the regular season.

Yeah but if he already sat out a few practices that doesn't bode well given the history of last year. Man I hope this isn't a lingering thing.

My exact thoughts. He has played 42 snaps so far in 2 games and has yet to start really shining or getting back to his 2012 form when he was really, REALLY good.

Hopefully this is minor and he plays a bunch more next week.

Actually, McCarthy held him out as a precautionary matter. The injury does not look serious as he is not even on the injury report. They're just being smart with him and not going to allow a nagging injury keep him off the field. I think we can assume this is just purely a preemptive attempt to keep him at 100%. My guess is his hamstring tightened up at practice and they immediately took him off the field. Jordy had a very minor hamstring issue and he was only day to day. I think it weren't the 3rd preseason game where starters play more we'd see him in for a series or two.

Seems like R. Rodgers had plenty of speed to stretch the field on that play
