Packers injury report:

Probable: DB Hyde (knee)

Questionable: T Bulaga (knee), CB Hayward (glute)

Out: ILB B Jones (quad), OLB Mulumba (knee)

I wouldn't count on Bulaga or Hayward for this game either. Big test for Sherrod and House now.

Was the game the last 'defensive struggle/battle' we've been in?

Several that year.  9-0 beat Jets.  10-3 beat Bears.

I was fairly surprised to see the Lions are favored on most betting sites this week.  Hopefully we can pull out one of the underdog wins this week

Its not silly at all.  It was a wrong call that directly resulted with points being taken off the board.  A call that the NFL said was incorrect.  Had the ref being doing his job, the whistle wouldn't have been blown and the Jets would have put another 7 on the board. I don't get the excuse that "Timeout was called" to take every ounce of accountability off the shoulders of the ref who screwed the Jets by not doing his job.  What if a fan would have called Timeout?  The ref could use the same excuse.. "I wasn't doing my job right but someone said Timeout".  AT least the ref in the failmerry was TRYING to do his job, the ref on Sunday blatantly ignored part of his responsibility and in doing so made a terrible call.  Thankfully we benefited from the lazy ref.

This was a Jets issue.. not a referee issue.  The referee cannot be expected to turnaround and take his eyes off the field to see who is calling timeout to grant/not grant the timeout as per the rules.  Jets sideline lost discipline simple as that, they cost themselves the game.  Packers sideline lost discipline in first half with 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty... it happens.

Packers offense basically gifted Jets 7 points to start the game.

If Lions right tackle is as bad as their fans are saying... maybe there is hope for Packers defense this week.

Ansah and Fairley both questionable?  I would happily take just 1 of the 2 not playing this weekend

I expect both to play, although Ansah is the more questionable of the two and probably won't be fully effective on the injured knee. From my understanding, Fairley suffered his injury before last weekend's game and played through it.

Cassius Vaughn is the third nickel CB the Lions have lost already this year, and Ihedigbo was signed to start at SS but hasn't played since the preseason. That's about as depleted as a secondary can get this early in the season.

The O/U on the Packers game is 52.5, the highest O/U this week.  Seems the Over is probably a good bet still.
