The OFICIAL Packers v Bears Game Day Thread
« on: November 05, 2014, 04:48:59 AM »
I hate the Bears.

Both teams are coming out of bye weeks, but there the similarities end. the Bears appear to be heading in the wrong direction, and there is an increasing feeling the Bears are unraveling. The Packers have problems, but seem to have their house in order. But, since this is a divisional game, and the Packers have a bullseye on their backs because of their recent success, expect a tough, hard fought contest. Oh, did I mention I hate the Bears?

The Bears are frustrated, rested, and should be fired up to play. Will that translate to success? I hope not.

On the injury front, Lamarr Houston is out for the year with a case of bad karma. Matt Slauson is also out with a torn pectoral muscle. Lance Briggs and Kyle Fuller are recovering from injuries and expected to play, according to Trestman.

The Bears have definitely hit a rough patch and the bye couldn't have come at a better time. Although losers of 4 or their last 5 games - they still have skill position talent that can only be maximized should Cutler have a "peak" rather than a "valley" game.

My key question is whats the status of our secondary?

I definitely feel we should win but see a depleted secondary as the primary challenge.
Forte will have his usual Forte game - which obviously doesn't lead them to victories. Its up to Cutler and the WR's/TE.

Our whole secondary is practicing with full participation this week... if that answers your question.

You know what you're talking about?
If so - then yeah - that'll do the trick.
It not - thanks - but just another bump in the road to truth  :)

Don Majikowski will be at Lambeau this weekend in honor of the 25th Annversary of the 1989 "Instant Replay" Game. That game was played on November 5th, 1989.

Packers injury report for Sunday:

Out: WR Kevin Dorsey (foot, DNP)

Questionable: G T.J. Lang (ankle, DNP), G Josh Sitton (toe, DNP)

Probable: QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring, full), CB Sam Shields (knee, full), S Morgan Burnett (calf, full), DL Datone Jones (ankle, full)

Dorsey suffered a "serious foot injury" in practice. MM said it's a multiple week injury, doesn't know yet if he's headed for IR.

For the Bears, TE Martellus Bennett missed today's practice and is questionable with a rib injury apparently suffered yesterday.

That would be big for CHI if he can't go on Sunday.
