The OFFICIAL Packers v Buccaneers Game Day Thread
« on: December 17, 2014, 05:28:36 AM »
Now it gets really serious. A Packer loss and a Lions win means the Lions win the division. And the Lions seem to be a team with lot of luck, and a very good defense. This is not a game to take lightly. Lovie Smith "gets it" when it comes to the Packers, and he's given recent Packers QB's fits with his defensive schemes. Then there are the other games- in particular Arizona and Seattle, also the Dallas and Philly games. So, buckle your seat belts, it could be a bumpy ride! But, two wins and a little luck, and the road to Arizona could become a lot smoother for the Packers.

Meanwhile, on the bright side, from ESPN/Wilde:

Big game with Big implications... Green Bay is a far superior team, but must avoid playing down to the competition on the road.

Your link to Jason certainly ends on a dower note:

"Now, hell travel to Tampa Bay, where in two career games at Raymond James Stadium he has completed a combined 31 of 62 passes (50 percent) for 431 yards with four TDs and six INTs for a 54.6 rating a whopping 51.2 points below his NFL-best career passer rating of 105.8. The two losses are by a combined score of 68-49."
The Green Bay Packers never lost a football game.
They just ran out of time.

I don't think the team will come out lackluster after getting punched in the mouth in Buffalo.
They will be pissed and win big.

Now it gets really serious.......

Focusing in on the above - good. I've been wanting it to get serious. Starting with Julio Jone's connection to start Week 14's second half.
The NFC West, AFC North/Central - lots of teams - have been playing a whole bunch of serious games. Win/Lose or go home type games.

Seattle's been marching to the SB for a few weeks now with "If we dont get our ass in line we're gonna be sitting at home" urgency.

Good. Time the GBP got a bit "urgent" in their stride as well. Clobber the GD TBBucs then face up with DET.
Or to put in Godfather terms: "take care of all the family business"  :)

I expect them to blow the doors off Tampa.  People should be fired if they lose this game with what's at stake.

I love the move of announcing our playoff captains even though we have not clinched a spot.

Emphasizes the importance of each game going forward, certainly considering an opponent like Tampa Bay, whom is at the bottom of the league, we don't want anyone looking past them.

I really think we just go into Tampa and roll them.

Packers 35 - 17 Tampa Bay

Rodgers will be playing with a chip on his shoulder this Sunday, expect him to have a game of epic proportions vs Bucs. IF the Packers plays there "A" game on Sunday, this one should be over by the 3rd quarter.

Packers 42
Bucs 17

Exactly.  I don't care what the final score is either as long as our number is larger and we have no more injuries.

Lovie Smith HAS had good success defensively against the Packers.  That's the only possible fly I can see in the ointment.  You wouldn't expect a 2-12 team to give us problems considering that Rodgers didn't play well last week and the whole team will likely be out to prove something.
