The OFFICIAL Packers vs. Lions Game Day Thread
« on: November 30, 2015, 04:59:03 PM »
This game now looms as a make or break game for the psyche of the Packers. If they lose, or even if the offense doesn't show some life, this season could get even uglier. It seems as if there is a growing gap between the coaches and players, and even within the players themselves, which is a real bad sign. MM saying the game plans are fine- the players simply aren't performing well enough. The alleged "players only" meeting from a few weeks ago, where Rodgers reportedly criticized the study habits of some of the younger players. It seems as if at this point, there is more finger pointing than solutions. Here is a link (the second time I'm offering this, because I think its pretty darn interesting) from "Green and Gold Today". Check out the Audio Vault for Nov. 30. I don't think I've ever heard Wilde so critical of the Packers, including Rodgers.

And I thought I was optimistic! I'll take a 14-10 win, personally. Even if it takes a last second TD by Rodgers to get it done. Just win, baby.

Oh, and Leader, I purposely put an "alleged" by the players only meeting, simply because it seemed so implausible that something like that would escape notice by everyone- media and social media alike. Instead, it apparently was a garbled version of position meeting comments/criticisms. So, there apparently was internal criticism/friction, just not to the degree that Collingsworth said.

Anyone heard why Quarless is still on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return list?

Maybe still not over his MCL injury? Shaking off the rust...

He won't be our savior at tight end, but would definitely help.

No prob.
Collingsworth said it - I thought it happened.
AR said it didnt - so I mentioned it.
Who knows.

Interesting that Taylor is starting in place of Lang and not Walker. Also, Lang must have been pretty banged up not to play as he went to college not 30 miles from Detroit.

Yeah, whatever Lang's injury is, I'm sure it would kill me. Really interesting that Taylor has surpassed Walker...

The Lions are missing their starting center, so at least that balances things a bit.

Wow! Look for Ziggy Ansah to get plenty of reps lining up opposite Barclay. Hopefully the Packers can counter...\ - : #

And Golf, I think your theory about Crockett, posted in another thread, is solid. He is indeed active tonight, and I think he may well have been snatched from the PS if the Packers had left him there. Who knows, he may be able to jack up that running game a bit as well!

I think the Packers could surprise us tonight and come out ready to kick som Kitten a$$!

GO PACKERS!!!
