The OFFICIAL Colts v Packers Game Day Thread
« on: November 02, 2016, 06:14:38 PM »
After a tough loss, time to bounce back. And continue their upward trend. And, of course, beat the Colts as they prepare for an extended road trip. For those who like stats, here's the rankings of the Colts for this season: http://www.nfl.com/teams/statistics?team=ind Personally, I agree with Mark Twain.
So, what to expect? How about the unexpected? Or, more likely, the defense will stop the run (ignore the average per carry; focus on how many times the RB's are stopped for short/no gains/losses. Forget about a WR who gets a lot of receptions/yards- focus on whether those receptions lead to scores. If not, who cares? And, finally, when was the last time we heard hatred for the punter? Has he gotten better, or are we getting more accepting? I'd bet the ranch on the former. But by far the best punter in the NFL belongs to the Colts- Pat McAfee. So, expect the field position battle to favor the Colts if it becomes a low scoring game of attrition.

If Cobb doesn't play again (reported that it is highly unlikely) and the offense is as effective as last week do we have to start asking the question?

Hmmmm.....small miracles.
The Bucs play and lose on Thursday...leaves a hole in Sunday's broadcasting schedule...which is being filled by Indy @ GB.

Are we better without him? IMO, he's the one that has had the hardest time getting open on his own. I think he's lost some of his quickness. I think his reps could be easily replaced by others.

If not better without him, perhaps not worse either?  For what he is getting paid, he needs to be a difference maker.  Nothing that I've seen over the past two seasons leads me to believe he is.  Maybe he has lost a step, which is puzzling given his age.

I hope he turns it around but if not, maybe the money would be better spent elsewhere next season.

Surprised Matthews is inactive. Glad we got Rollins back if he's healthy. I'm indifferent on Cobb, but hope he has a great game.

I hope both Cobb and Rollins make it thru the game w/o re-injury.

Also active today for the #Packers is CB Demetri Goodson, who was in concussion protocol.
Means Gunter, Rollins and Goodson are available.

Anyone else see a couple big blocks in the back on the Colt's opening TD kickoff return?
