The OFFICIAL Packers v Titans Game Day Thread
« on: November 09, 2016, 02:28:13 PM »
This is the beginning of the second season. Effectively, the Packers can look at this as the beginning of a climb back to respectability, or they can decide to pack it in and wait for next year. This PFT article details how Ben Roethlisberger is looking at the rest of the season: as an opportunity to excel.

Hopefully, the Packers have the same attitude. Because from what I've been reading on this site, a fair number of posters have given up. We'll see if the team feels the same way:

Are the Packer lacking in locker room leadership? Again? Because this seems to be a regular question when they're doing poorly. Everyone is grasping at solutions.  http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2016/11/11/finding-proper-leaders-challenges-packers/93642140/

I would never give up.  But if the season ended today, the Packers wouldn't make the playoffs.  Something is wrong with this team - many of the problems date back to last season, and they still have not been fixed.   I'm hopeful that they can turn it around, but it's getting to the point where they're going to have to show me they can do it before I am going to be convinced.

That's the thing, iarwain.  These problems aren't new.  They began to pop up last year and for some reason the coaching staff at 1265 have been unable to fix it.  This is what I find disappointing and a little disturbing.  Wouldn't you think they have to know what his wrong or can they not see the forest for the trees?  As they say the ultimate definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.  If your coaching staff cannot or will not do what is necessary to put their players in the best possible position to win then it might be time for a change while your HOF QB is still around.

Can't say I'm confident about this game.  I'm fully expecting a disgusting offensive performance. I can't see McCarthy getting out of the way.  He's going to do it his way regardless if his way hasn't worked in almost 2 seasons.

I'm Grateful the game's not on TV locally today. I'll listen in with Wayne and Larry:

Rodgers not looking good on his first throw.  Goodson blowing a chance at pinning Tennessee inside the 5.  Not a great start considering they let us start at the 50.
