The OFFICIAL Giants v Packers Playoff Thread
« on: January 04, 2017, 08:34:10 PM »
Now the real season begins. The pretenders are home. The contenders are in the playoffs. And the Packers are again contenders. Any earlier games or performances, whether heroic or flops are in the past. They don't matter. What does matter is what happens this Sunday. Either win and advance, or lose and go home. The table has been reset. Either run it and be champions, or fall short and wait another year.

AR, with a full stable of wr's, will be hitting on all cylinders, this should also lead to a great day for our backs.

I'm expecting alot more out of our DL. Keep our lbrs free and give our secondary a chance.

Packers: 34

Giants: 24

This game boils down to the play of our safety group and whether they can rise to the occasion and compensate for injuries degrading the cornerback group.

Would have been nice if the NYG's WR's could have spent more time in Florida. Get that blood nicely thinned out - then head into the Tundra :)

Playoff time is always a time players are particularly AMPED UP!!! Which can be a good thing, but Packer players need to also play smart.

Hochuli and his crew this season led the NFL in calling taunting penalties.

Play aggressive and don't back down, but once the play is over - breath and get your asses back to the huddle or line of scrimmage. Talking is for the pressers after the game.
The Green Bay Packers never lost a football game.
They just ran out of time.

I would speculate (don't want to be too declarative) that McCarthy and the team have discussed this already.  McCarthy has talked in the past how they scout the refs as well as the other team, and know what they allow and don't allow.  I would speculate that there won't be any dunks over the goal post today.
