Since Bennett is the better blocker, defenses can't sit back and anticipate a pass (only) like they could with Cook.

With Bennett on the field you have to respect that the play could be a run just as much as it could be a pass.
Right now they have no threat running the ball. As long s that is the case, they will still disrespect the running game as they have in the past.  TT is foolish in not getting a veteran RB.

Why should Ted spend money on a aging vet RB when he can get a rookie in this draft?  Rookie RBs can contribute right away, just like Lacy did.

Depends on what Mr. Amari thinks of his legacy.
If he thinks he's well on his way to creating it - he may not be amenable to switching numbers.
If he thinks it's still in front of him to be created - he might not care about switching numbers. Especially since he'd be heading into that future weighted down with some extra pocket change.
