LOWDOWN: Another guy who visited the Packers. He was a left tackle at South Florida. First-time all-AAC. Probably will move to guard in NFL. Amichia is a really good athlete. Massively strong. Ran the 40 in 4.99. Benched 225 pounds 32 times. Had a killer pro day. -Tom Silverstein

That's an extremely favorable report by Silverstein and the JSonline.
"Massively strong" and "really good athlete" is a winning combination.

Most good NFL guards were effective college tackles, so he fits the recipe to a T.  Here's hoping he's a smart and resourceful guy who transitions to guard very effectively, and ends up being a really effective long-term guy.  Evans perhaps provides a nice red-shirt for Amichia?

Hopefuly Amichia, Murphy, and Patrick can all show enough promise in camp and as the season progresses so that next offseason, they'll have little/no hesitation to hand the RG keys over to one of them.

He'll need to get stronger but can say that just about any rook coming in.  What stands out to me more than the measurables is 31 wonderlick.  Packers want intelligent lineman.  This is important.  When I read that I feel much better about the pick.  I can see now why they drafted him.  Don't think he'll be ready to take over to start the season.  He'll need a year to develop.  Gave the pick a big huh?  but after reading up on him I'm fine with the pick.  makes sense.
