At the right price, absolutely. Jennings has adequate speed, but where he differs is route running.  He has rare ability to cut sharply on a dime.    I think the Packers are going to go with what they got though.   Jennings would help, but not enough to warrant the delay of development of their current backup WRs.

The right price IMHO would be the league minimum. Otherwise forget it.

Jennings was an excellent player for us, and he's still good.  I think he'd be very effective for us, and I'd love to have him.  But that ship has sailed.  No $$$ for a #4 receiver.

Sorry, Greg, you're going someplace else.

Jennings was a quality receiver in Green Bay,  The kool aid drinkers agreed until he left.

Don't bash kool-aid, it's a multi-purpose tool. Hair dye AND a refreshing beverage? Love it

Indeed.

I'd rather spend our money beefing up the middle of our defense.

Jennings did do well while in GB. No argument there but he split for greener pastures and climate change has turned them all brown. When your OC declares Charles Johnson to be better than you - your game has slipped. For what reason? Who cares. Barring injury, we simply dont need him at this juncture. I'd give Adams his reps - see what else the WR corps has in store for 2015 - and allocate funds elsewhere.

I think they will draft another WR in the bottom 3 rounds, and/or bring in a couple of udfa's to compete and develop.

Injuries happen and you don't want to leave the cupboard bare, but you don't need to stock it with something old/expensive.

It's like buying pears. You don't use them right away. You put them in the cupboard for a few days and let them ripen up.   :)

Besides...................he did burn his bridges.

He's 31. I think he'll look great in a Raiders uniform.

Can't see him back in Green Bay.  I doubt he'll want to compete for the #3 spot and I think there will be a market for him.  I think he ends up in New England where he'd have a nice bounce back year.  Jennings would likely be the second most talented WR Tom Brady's ever had.

Oakland??

He could pair up with buddy James Jones.

They still have plenty of green to throw around too.

Oakland needs to lock up Jennings, then go out and grab Dujuan Harris and Matt Flynn.  Basically become the Packers B Squad
They already had Flynn once.

Don't rule out Seattle.  They may/may not have the cap space for him, but Schneider knows him very well.

I see zero logic in thinking about signing a FA WR.  We have our top 3 set and that will not change.  At best, you're paying someone 1M+ to be your 4th WR?  What receiver would sign with a team knowing they'll never get receptions?

After our top 3, we have 3+ already in the hopper being developed from last year -- 2 of which are highly likely to make the team (Abbo, Janis) so you're already 5 deep which, many years, is all we keep anyway.  Again, why pay 1M+ and release one of these cheaper guys?

At best, we draft someone 6th round or later (unless a gem just falls into our lap, sure).  Otherwise, I say we focus on spending our cap where we have need.
